My name is Glenn Pickering, and I am a passionate educator, creative practitioner, and lifelong learner with over 15 years' experience teaching in higher education. My expertise spans visual communication, curriculum development, and mentoring students as they prepare for successful careers in an ever-changing world.

Beyond my career in education, I’ve worked on creative projects for a range of clients, utilising my creative skills to produce illustrations, designs and videos. Technology has always been at the forefront of my practice - starting in the early 2000s when I first embraced digital design, and continuing through my observations of the ways tech impacts professional workflows & education.

Parallel to this is my interest in the power of technology to shape society. As an educator and early adopter of digital creative processes, my career has tracked the growing use of tech, enabling me to gain a broad overview of its impact on industry, education and culture. My work with students - helping them prepare for the rapidly evolving creative sector - has deepened my focus on the transformative effect of AI and developments in the internet, not only with regard to work, but on society as a whole.

This knowledge and experience enables me to offer a unique perspective on the changes we are witnessing. As an educator and creative practitioner, I approach technological shifts from a practical, frontline viewpoint - one rooted in real-world applications and a human-centered lens. By exploring how digital technologies impact work and life, I aim to better-prepare people like you for what lies ahead.
